Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, received in Muscat Archbishop Dr Nicolas Henry Thevenin, Ambassador of the Vatican to the Sultanate of Oman. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the relations of friendship and understanding between the Sultanate of Oman and the Vatican, as well as efforts to support interfaith and intercultural dialogue based on the foundations of respect and tolerance. The Foreign Minister praised the stances and statements issued by Pope Leo XIV calling for the achievement of justice and peace, the cessation of wars, the rejection of violence, and the prioritisation of dialogue and peaceful solutions.
